Deploying an agent

Agents in Metorial enable powerful automation and interactive workflows. This guide will walk you through deploying a thread agent and making it accessible to users.

Open the Agent Page

Navigate to the Agents section in the dashboard and select your agent. Click the Publish button to release the agent to the default staging environment.

Go to the Portal tab in the dashboard and create a portal where users can interact with your agent.

In the Portal Agents section, add your Simple Chat App to the portal using the staging environment.

Manage Environments

Open the Environments section and follow the link to your staging portal. This is where you can test your agent in a controlled environment. Once you're ready for public access, you can create a production environment to officially launch it.

Interact with Your Agent in the Portal

Log into the portal using your Metorial account and a one-time password (OTP). You’ll be able to chat with your agent in a ChatGPT-like interface, accessible directly from the web.
