Supported Tools

create_comparison_from_files

Create Comparison From Files

Creates a new document comparison between two documents (left and right). Documents are uploaded directly from base64-encoded bytes, so no public document URL is required. Supports cross-format comparisons (e.g., Word to PDF). The comparison will be processed asynchronously — check the `ready` field to determine when results are available.

create_comparison

Create Comparison

Creates a new document comparison between two documents (left and right). Documents are provided via publicly accessible URLs. Supports cross-format comparisons (e.g., Word to PDF). The comparison will be processed asynchronously — check the `ready` field to determine when results are available.

get_comparison

Get Comparison

Retrieves a specific comparison by its identifier. Returns the comparison's metadata, processing status, and document details.

list_comparisons

List Comparisons

Lists all comparisons associated with your account, ordered from newest to oldest. Supports pagination via limit and offset parameters.

get_change_details

Get Change Details

Retrieves the comparison results as structured JSON. Provides a programmatic summary of all detected changes between two documents, including insertions, deletions, and replacements with their locations. Useful for integrating comparison results into workflows without the visual viewer.

delete_comparison

Delete Comparison

Permanently deletes a comparison by its identifier. This also removes all associated exports and change details. This action cannot be undone.

get_export_status

Get Export Status

Retrieves the status of a PDF export. Use this to poll for export completion after initiating an export with the **Export Comparison** tool. When ready, provides a downloadable PDF and its current download URL.

export_comparison

Export Comparison

Initiates a PDF export of a comparison. Exports are processed asynchronously — use the returned export identifier to poll for completion with the **Get Export Status** tool. Four export kinds are available: left (original document), right (revised document), combined (both documents), and single_page (redline view with highlights and deletion markers).

get_viewer_url

Get Viewer URL

Generates a viewer URL for a comparison. For private comparisons, generates a signed URL with an expiry time. For public comparisons, generates a direct public URL. The viewer supports side-by-side and single-page (redline) views and can be embedded in an iframe.

Connect Draftable to your AI client

Every client uses the same Magic MCP URL, and so does any other MCP client. Add it once and sign in with SSO.

  2. Add a custom connector. Open Customize, then Connectors. Select Add, then Custom, then Web.
  3. Paste your Metorial MCP URL. Name it Metorial, paste your Magic MCP URL (<your-magic-mcp-url>) and continue.
  4. Sign in. Select Add and sign in to load Draftable tools.

Run Draftable through the Metorial gateway

One governed layer for every app your agents reach, not a separate connector per tool.

  • Give Draftable and every other app to your whole team through one MCP gateway, behind your SSO.
  • Scope which teams and agents can use Draftable tools with role-based access control, and trace every call.
  • Prefer to run it yourself? Metorial is open source and self-hostable.
