list_folder
List files and folders at a given path. Returns file metadata including name, size, type, timestamps, and checksums. Supports pagination for large directories and text name search filtering; search results may be delayed or truncated.
list_users
List user accounts with optional search filtering. Returns user details including username, email, admin status, and login history. Supports pagination.
search_history
Search the audit log for file operations and user activity. Filter by path, folder, user, date range, and more. Returns detailed records of actions including uploads, downloads, deletes, moves, copies, and account events.
manage_group
Create, update, list, or delete groups. Groups organize users and can have protocol-level permissions (SFTP, FTP, WebDAV, REST API). Use groups to manage folder permissions for teams.
manage_share_link
Create, update, list, get, or delete share links (called "Bundles" in the API). Share links allow external users to access files with configurable security options including password protection, expiration dates, download limits, and registration requirements.
manage_notification
Create, update, list, or delete notification rules. Notifications alert users or groups when specific file activities (upload, download, copy, move, delete) occur in a folder. Supports configurable intervals, file pattern matching, and recursive folder monitoring.
manage_user
Create, update, or delete a user account. When creating, provide username and email. When updating, provide the user ID and any fields to change. Supports setting permissions, admin roles, authentication methods, and protocol access.
manage_permission
List, create, or delete folder-level permissions for users and groups. Permissions control access to folders with levels: admin, full, readonly, writeonly, list, and history. Permissions can be recursive to apply to subfolders.
manage_file
Copy, move, or delete a file or folder. For copy and move, specify the destination path. Delete supports recursive deletion for non-empty folders.
create_folder
Create a new folder at the specified path. Automatically creates parent directories if they don't exist.
manage_automation
Create, update, list, delete, or manually run automations. Automations perform file operations (create folders, copy, move, delete, import files, run sync) triggered by schedules, file events, webhooks, or manual invocation.
get_file_info
Retrieve detailed metadata for a specific file or folder, including size, checksums, timestamps, permissions and preview status without logging a download. Use download_file for file content.
upload_file
Upload up to 10 MiB of UTF-8 text or Base64 bytes. Uploading may replace an existing file and retain audit history. A partial upload or lost final receipt requires exact-resource inspection before retrying.
download_file
Download a Files.com file of up to 10 MiB. Requires file read access; downloading can create provider audit history.
get_current_user
Read the current API key identity, owning-user ID when present and native site/workspace context. A site-wide key has no owning user; this does not infer a signed-in human.
get_file_operation
Read the native status of a file migration started by copy or move. Pending status does not mean completion; visibility depends on the API key and workspace.
