  • Use the manage skillset tool in Chatbotkit

Supported Tools

list_messages

List Messages

Retrieve the message history for a conversation. Returns all messages exchanged between users and the bot, including message type, text, and metadata.

manage_dataset

Manage Dataset

Create, update, delete, or fetch datasets. Datasets are structured collections of knowledge that bots use to generate informed responses. Manage both the dataset container and individual records within it.

get_task

Get Task

Inspect a background task, including execution status, outcome, schedule and associated bot or contact. Use list_resources with resourceType tasks to discover task IDs.

manage_integration

Manage Integration

Create, update, delete, or fetch integrations (deployment channels). Integrations connect bots to platforms like Slack, Discord, WhatsApp, web widgets, Sitemap, Notion, and more. Each integration type has its own configuration.

manage_space

Manage Space

Create, update, delete, or fetch spaces. Spaces are collaborative environments for organizing conversations, contacts, and shared resources in isolated workspaces.

manage_skillset

Manage Skillset

Create, update, delete, or fetch skillsets and their abilities. Skillsets define what actions AI agents can perform. Abilities are individual actions within a skillset, defined through natural language instructions.

conversation_feedback

Conversation Feedback

Submit upvote or downvote feedback on conversations or individual messages. Helps improve bot performance and gathers user sentiment data.

manage_conversation

Manage Conversation

Create, update, delete, or fetch conversations. Conversations are interactive sessions between users and AI bots. Supports creating new conversations linked to bots, updating settings, and retrieving conversation details.

manage_contact

Manage Contact

Create, update, delete, fetch, or ensure contacts. Contacts represent end-users interacting with your chatbots. The "ensure" action creates a contact if it doesn't exist or retrieves it if it does. Also supports listing a contact's conversations.

list_models

List Models

Discover available AI models, their identifiers, providers and token limits before configuring a bot or sending a completion.

manage_memory

Manage Memory

Create, update, delete, fetch, or search memories. Memories are persistent data units that store information associated with bots and contacts, enabling context recall and personalized experiences across conversations. Supports semantic search for finding relevant memories.

send_message

Send Message

Send a message in a conversation and optionally receive the bot's response. Can also use the stateless complete endpoint for one-shot interactions without managing conversation state.

manage_bot

Manage Bot

Create, update, delete, or fetch ChatBotKit bots. Bots are conversational AI systems with a backstory, AI model, dataset, and skillset. Use this to configure bot behavior, personality, and capabilities.

list_resources

List Resources

List resources across ChatBotKit: bots, conversations, datasets, skillsets, contacts, memories, integrations, files, spaces, secrets, tasks, or blueprints. Supports cursor-based pagination.

Connect Chatbotkit to your AI client

Every client uses the same Magic MCP URL, and so does any other MCP client. Add it once and sign in with SSO.

  3. Paste your Metorial MCP URL. Name it Metorial, paste your Magic MCP URL (<your-magic-mcp-url>) and continue.
  4. Sign in. Select Add and sign in to load Chatbotkit tools.

Run Chatbotkit through the Metorial gateway

One governed layer for every app your agents reach, not a separate connector per tool.

  • Give Chatbotkit and every other app to your whole team through one MCP gateway, behind your SSO.
  • Scope which teams and agents can use Chatbotkit tools with role-based access control, and trace every call.
  • Prefer to run it yourself? Metorial is open source and self-hostable.
