Manage Account Membership

Manages customer-account relationships in Engage. Accounts represent organizations that customers belong to. You can add customers to accounts, remove them, change their roles, convert user types, or list account members.

create_or_update_user

Create or Update User

Creates a new user (customer or account) in Engage, or updates an existing user's attributes. When creating, provide a **uid** as the unique identifier from your application. When updating, the same uid is used to locate the user. Supports standard fields, custom metadata attributes, device tokens, list subscriptions, and account associations.

get_user

Get User

Retrieves a user's full profile from Engage by their unique identifier. Returns all standard attributes, custom metadata, list subscriptions, account associations, device tokens, and message stats.

manage_list

Manage List

Creates, updates, retrieves, or archives a subscription list in Engage. Lists group customers for targeted messaging and campaigns. Supports double opt-in and redirect URLs for post-subscription behavior.

send_email

Send Transactional Email

Sends a transactional email through Engage or a connected Email Service Provider (ESP). Supports HTML content, plain text, or pre-built templates with variable substitution. Useful for password resets, activity notifications, receipts, and other programmatic emails.

send_sms

Send Transactional SMS

Sends a transactional SMS through a connected SMS provider. Supports Twilio, Termii, Africa's Talking, KudiSMS, and Hollatags. The source parameter specifies which provider to use.

list_users

List Users

Retrieves a paginated list of users from Engage. Supports filtering by email and cursor-based pagination. Returns up to 30 users per page.

list_lists

List Subscription Lists

Retrieves a paginated list of all subscription lists in your Engage account. Returns list details including subscriber counts and configuration.

archive_or_delete_user

Archive or Delete User

Archives or permanently deletes a user from Engage. Archiving preserves the user data but deactivates the user. Deleting permanently removes the user.

track_event

Track Event

Tracks a custom event for a user in Engage. Events can be used for user segmentation, triggering automation workflows, and tracking user behavior. Supports events with a single value, multiple properties, or just an event name.

merge_users

Merge Users

Merges two user profiles into one. The source user's data is combined into the destination user's profile. The source user is removed after merging.

Manage List Subscription

Manages a user's subscription to an Engage list. Can subscribe a new user, update subscription status (subscribe/unsubscribe), or remove a user entirely from a list. You can also add or remove a user from multiple lists at once using the bulk action.
