Supported Tools

get_solar_data

Get Solar Data

Retrieve solar radiation and UV index data for a specific location. Useful for solar energy forecasting, UV exposure assessment, and agricultural planning. Returns hourly data with values from multiple meteorological sources.

get_bio_data

Get Bio Data

Retrieve biological and environmental data for a specific location. Includes ocean bio-parameters (chlorophyll, oxygen, pH, salinity, nutrients) and land soil data (moisture, temperature at various depths). Useful for marine ecology research, water quality monitoring, agricultural soil analysis, and environmental studies.

get_elevation

Get Elevation

Retrieve the elevation for a specific coordinate point. Returns elevation in meters relative to sea level. Useful for terrain analysis, flood risk assessment, and geographic data enrichment.

get_weather

Get Weather Data

Retrieve weather forecast or historical data for a specific location. Returns hourly weather data including air temperature, pressure, humidity, wind, precipitation, cloud cover, visibility, and more. Forecast horizon depends on the source; standard models offer up to 10 days and some AI models up to 15 days. Forecast records have a 14-day look-back period; use get_historical_weather for older data. Multiple data sources can be queried individually or use **"sg"** for Stormglass AI automatic best-source selection.

list_tide_stations

List Tide Stations

Retrieve a list of available tide stations globally or within a specified geographic bounding box. Returns station name, coordinates, and data source for each station. Use the bounding box filter to find stations in a specific region.

get_marine_data

Get Marine Data

Retrieve marine and ocean environment data for a specific location. Returns hourly marine data including wave height, swell height, water temperature, currents, wind wave, sea depth, ice cover, and more. Ideal for ocean and coastal applications such as surfing, fishing, shipping, and offshore operations.

get_tide_data

Get Tide Data

Retrieve tide data for a specific location, including sea level predictions and high/low tide extremes. Automatically selects the closest tide station to the provided coordinates. Can return either **sea level** data (hourly predicted sea levels) or **extremes** data (high and low tide times and heights), or both.

get_astronomy_data

Get Astronomy Data

Retrieve astronomy data for a specific location including sunrise, sunset, moonrise, moonset, moon phase, and twilight times. Includes civil, nautical, and astronomical dawn/dusk times useful for outdoor activities and navigation.

get_historical_weather

Get Historical Weather

Retrieve historical weather and marine data for a coordinate from the reanalyzed ERA5 dataset and other available historical sources. Data is available from 2014 and is normally delayed by at least seven days. Returns hourly parameter values and request metadata.
