Netsuite MCP server

Connect Netsuite to Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, Claude Code, Codex, Gemini, GitHub Copilot and any other MCP client, for your whole team. Metorial adds security, governance, and tracing, and gives everyone one Magic MCP URL to connect.

What you can do with the Netsuite MCP server

Ask your agent in plain language. Each of these maps to a real tool on the server.

  • Use the delete record tool in Netsuite
  • Use the upsert record tool in Netsuite
  • Use the get record tool in Netsuite
  • Use the list records tool in Netsuite
  • Use the transform record tool in Netsuite
  • Use the list record types tool in Netsuite

Supported Tools

delete_record

Delete Record

Permanently delete a NetSuite record by its type and internal ID. This action cannot be undone. Supports record types and operations exposed to your native role in list_record_types that allow deletion.

upsert_record

Upsert Record

Create or update a NetSuite record using an external ID. Discover types with list_record_types and verify upsert support with get_record_metadata. If a record with the given external ID exists, it will be updated; otherwise, a new record will be created. This is useful for syncing data from external systems where you use your own identifier to match records.

get_record

Get Record

Retrieve a NetSuite record by its internal ID or eid:<externalId>. Discover types available to your role with list_record_types and supported reads with get_record_metadata. Optionally expand sub-resources (like line items) and select specific fields to return.

list_records

List Records

Retrieve a page of NetSuite records of a type discovered with list_record_types. Supports native body-field filtering; collections return IDs and links. Read exact record fields with get_record or query_suiteql. Use this for browsing record collections or finding records that match specific criteria.

transform_record

Transform Record

Transform a NetSuite record into a new record of another type. Discover available types with list_record_types and verify the transformation in get_record_metadata for your role. NetSuite automatically populates the target record with data from the source record during transformation.

list_record_types

List Record Types

Discover exact record type names exposed by the authenticated account and role through the native metadata catalog. Use these names with get_record_metadata and record tools; this does not identify a person or list roles.

query_suiteql

Query SuiteQL

Execute a SuiteQL query against NetSuite data. SuiteQL is a SQL-92 based query language that supports SELECT, JOIN, WHERE, GROUP BY, HAVING, and ORDER BY clauses. Use this for complex data retrieval, reporting, cross-record queries, and filtering that goes beyond the standard REST API capabilities.

get_record_metadata

Get Record Metadata

Retrieve the native OpenAPI metadata for a NetSuite record type discovered with list_record_types. Returns field definitions, types, required fields, sublists, and operations exposed to your role. Use this to discover available fields before creating or updating records, or to understand the structure of a record type.

update_record

Update Record

Update an existing NetSuite record by its type and internal ID. Applies native PATCH body-field and sublist semantics. Omitted body fields remain unchanged; sublist changes and configured scripts/workflows can have additional effects. Supports record types and operations exposed to your native role in list_record_types.

create_record

Create Record

Create a NetSuite record using a type discovered with list_record_types and a creation operation supported by get_record_metadata for your role. Pass the record's field values as key-value pairs in the fieldValues parameter.

Connect Netsuite to your AI client

Every client uses the same Magic MCP URL, and so does any other MCP client. Add it once and sign in with SSO.

  1. Enable Netsuite in Metorial. In your Metorial portal, enable the Netsuite MCP server and sign in with the account that owns the data. Access stays governed by your team policies.
  2. Add a custom connector. Open Customize, then Connectors. Select Add, then Custom, then Web.
  3. Paste your Metorial MCP URL. Name it Metorial, paste your Magic MCP URL (<your-magic-mcp-url>) and continue.
  4. Sign in. Select Add and sign in to load Netsuite tools.

Run Netsuite through the Metorial gateway

One governed layer for every app your agents reach, not a separate connector per tool.

  • Give Netsuite and every other app to your whole team through one MCP gateway, behind your SSO.
  • Scope which teams and agents can use Netsuite tools with role-based access control, and trace every call.
  • Prefer to run it yourself? Metorial is open source and self-hostable.
