Providers
Agents are useful when they can reach real tools and data, but managing dozens of separate connections gets messy fast. In Metorial, every connection is a provider: a reusable, governed unit you set up once and share with the people and agents that should have it, whether it's a built-in integration or something your team built.
First-party integrations, custom servers, remote servers, and Docker servers are all providers. There's one consistent way to configure, govern, and share them.
A provider is set up once and made available to everyone allowed to use it. Teams don't recreate the same connection over and over.
Providers run under Metorial's access control, and every action, including sensitive ones, is recorded for review.
Where providers come from
Providers can come from anywhere, and they all behave the same way once they're in Metorial.
